Later in life, I followed a very different path.

I studied hard, earned a master’s degree in organic chemistry, and spent years working in pharmaceutical companies. Along the way, I learned to be precise, patient, and resilient. I became a scientist and eventually a project and technical lead, roles that demanded focus, responsibility, and long hours of problem-solving.

It was a world of structure and rigor.

And yet, even in that world, something stayed with me: the memory of how a simple pair of earrings once brought light into an ordinary classroom, and into my own life during a difficult time.

As much as I valued my scientific career and everything it gave me, the idea of creating something that could directly brighten someone’s day never left me. The thought that jewelry, something small, wearable, and expressive, could quietly uplift people continued to return.

That idea became KK Pop.

Today, KK Pop is where my two worlds meet: the discipline of science and the joy of self-expression. Every design is intentional and thoughtful, made with care not just to look beautiful, but to make you feel something.
